I was fortunate to work with Megan on the process of planning my next novel. I’ve written several novels without a plan in place, and have found the revisions are massive because I didn’t do the deep planning work. But I really had no idea how to best plan a novel and prepare to do the scary thing (plotting). Megan helped me with all of this. She kept me on track with the process, creating homework plans and follow up meetings each week, starting with a brainstorming session where we talked about the main ideas of my story idea. Megan gave me the push I needed to do the hard work and really learn all the “whys” behind my story and my main character’s actions. I really enjoyed working with Megan, and would love to work with her again. It was an excellent collaboration for creating my next story. And she totally understood when my children inevitably interrupted every call.

My mini-coaching session with Megan was so incredibly helpful. Her feedback was offered in a thoughtful and encouraging way. She is also incredibly understanding of the challenges of being a full-time parent and how that may show up in how dedicated you can be to your writing. She was honest and realistic without being unkind. I also appreciate that she didn't finish our session with a hard sell promising that for X dollars she would help you create a best seller. The nature of our session felt very supportive with a sincere interest in helping me improve my work. I definitely intend to work with her again.

"From the outset Megan was encouraging yet honest. The outlining process was approximately 3 weeks, and I felt as though I uncovered years’ worth of understanding for my project, my style and what I wanted to say to the world.
Megan checked in regularly to make sure I was on track and understanding each step. When I had a question, she was able to answer quickly and with examples.
